Only 1 coffee and 1 Ferrero

Happy breakfast

Trying to cut down on meat intake, but seems so difficult!

I have managed to make a breakfast for myself , it took 5 minutes because everything was ready in the fridge.

Happy morning!

Minimalist food – chicken rice

My favourite dinner , chicken rice and broccoli, super simple and healthy, low fat, low salt, such a mood boosting food for me.

Parboiling the chicken first, then put the chicken and rinsed rice into the rice cooker, a pinch of salt, it takes 30 minutes in the rice cooker to be ready

Steam or boil the broccoli separately

I added my homemade chilli paste for the zing taste experience but not compulsory, you can use your favourite sauce instead

Good food definitely give me a good mood

Cook from the heart not the head

This is a quick and comforting favourite soup of mine, all it takes is 10 minute to cook.

Cooking and prep for food is such a joy for me, i love doing it with the care from my heart and soul, it’s is indeed food cook from the heart , simple and quick yet still very satisfying and comforting

Go easy on coffee

I have been on Pukka tea for 3 days since i cut down on my caffein intake. My skin looks brighter and the red patch look less obvious. It always is a nightmare every time i try to find a good foundation and primer to cover my acnes, my red patches , it’s always an impossible mission. I either go home with an expensive foundation from Chanel or Dior, just to find out that it normally only does half of the job, my skin still look dull and even more spots appearing on my face. Another outcome is that i don’t find any foundation and leave my face with only a water base hydration gel, and skin still look unevenly red, oily, with acne and unarguably dull. All of this does not fit for a minimalist lifestyle.

It should comes from inside out i believe, that’s why i have been cutting down on coffee, alcohol and sugar. This approach seems to work very well so far. My skin looks brighter, less oily and less acne, less red patches. This is all i ask for. Consume more fruits, salad and herbal is definitely the way for me.ย Another invention is that i start doing regularly facial scrub with fine salt, it deep cleanse my face and antibacterial which helps to reduce red spots and acne on my face. This method by far surpasses all other type of facial cleanses and scrubs i have purchased from expensive brands, and it is kind on my budget too.

Shine like a beautiful flower, we are all beautiful inside and outside.

Minimalist lunch

Brown rice , green veg and soft boiled egg. The brown rice and green veg i bought ready made and soft boiled egg is done in 7 minutes.

Minimalist lunch is amazing

Minimalist without coffee

It’s my day 2 without coffee, it feels refreshing ๐Ÿ™‚ I used to have 3-5 cups of coffee a day, it gave me the buzz, making me feel efficient and powerful, but i could also feel the way it dries my skin, steals my calm and content. Without coffee, i use herbal tea or breakfast tea as a substitution, the good thing is i am in charge of my body energy now. When i am awake, i work, when i get tired, I can fall asleep any minute i put my head down, and sleep like a baby, even a quick power nap for 20-30′. My head is clearer when i work, and the calmness stays through out the day, no rushing hushing feeling and overtiring or overwhelming.

Think back to 3 days ago, and for over 10 years of relying on coffee to be awake and buzzing, i didn’t listen to my body, it was forced to work and become over tiring, over working and i need another cup of coffee to carry on and so the circle goes on and on.

I still love coffee and will certainly have an espresso or cappuccino when i visit Italy, or when i pass by an artisan coffee shop, but I will not rely on it to run my day like before, and this way i can be a healthy minimalist without troubles ๐Ÿ™‚

Keeping a food diary

I thought it would be a great idea to keep a log of all the food i consume every day , it’s surprising how much i have been eaten today, it could be because i feel a bit depressed about the tsunami in Indonesia. All i could do was only making a donation.

This is the food list so far:

Herbal tea

Pork and seaweed rice noodle soup

Capuccino

Marmite biscuit pack

2 corn on the cob

Chicken soup

Poached egg

Coffee with cream

Rice crackers

Plan for dinner: steak, asparagus and mushrooms

More herbal tea
